BOTTOMS UP!!
Having nothing better to do, I was reading through Hawaii’s Best Tropic Food and Drinks published in 1955 by Hawaiian Service Inc, Honolulu and came across 8 unique Hawaiian drinks: Tiki Punch, Hawaiian Sunset, Blue Hawaii, Hurricane Robert, Mai Tai (you all know this one!), Strawberry Daiquiri (familiar?), Bird of Paradise and Macadamia Chi Chi. The descriptions were intoxicating. Five of these drinks have the same alcohol ingredient and Six have the same fruit addition. Now if you just drink coffee, there is a wonderful coffee shop in the lobby of the Marriott Waikoloa Beach Resort, right in the flow of all of the meeting rooms and the patios and they also have sweets (in case anyone is interested). We will also have a display and sale table in the book room, managed by Clare Wilson of the “huahuafarm” –her own coffee plantation. The smells are enough to make you a coffee maven and are difficult to resist.
